They both are made up of phytochemicals that go to work immediately to break down fat in the body. They also help to fight the build up of cholesterol. Garlic and onions can also fight off many types of bacteria, fungi and viruses.


Tomatoes are very rich in both vitamin C and a phytochemical called lycopene. Tomatoes encourage the production of an amino acid called carnitine. Carnitine improves the body’s ability to burn fat by as much as one third.
